For years, The Closet NY has lived online — curated collections, one-of-one finds, and luxury pieces finding new homes through a screen. And while that has allowed us to grow in ways we’re incredibly proud of, we kept hearing the same thing over and over again:
“I wish you had a store.”
So here we are.
Opening our first brick-and-mortar boutique on Long Island isn’t just a business decision. It’s the natural next chapter of a journey that began in 2019 with a simple belief: luxury should feel attainable, thoughtful, and personal — not intimidating or wasteful.
Why Long Island?
Long Island is home. It’s where our community already exists — women with incredible style, full lives, and closets filled with pieces that deserve a second life.
We saw a gap here. While luxury resale has exploded online, there hasn’t been a curated, boutique-style destination on Long Island that feels elevated and approachable. A place where you can walk in, touch the pieces, try them on, ask questions, and leave feeling confident about what you’re buying — or consigning.
We didn’t want to create just another resale store. We wanted to create an experience.
